Business details

1. Our services

COLAB Events is an event management and entertainment company operating in Australia. Our services include the organisation, promotion and delivery of live events, club nights, concerts, tours and exhibitions, together with associated event management services (concept development, creative direction, budget management, logistics, marketing, sponsor coordination, venue procurement and vendor management).

In connection with these events we sell:

  • Pre-sale and online tickets;
  • Door entry (admission purchased at the venue on the day of the event);
  • Table reservations, booth packages and VIP packages;
  • Food, beverages and merchandise, where applicable;
  • Event management services provided to corporate and private clients under separate written agreement.

2. Pricing, currency and payment

2.1 All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where GST applies.

2.2 Ticket prices, booking fees, transaction fees and any table or package minimum spend are displayed before you complete your purchase. Fees charged by third-party ticketing platforms are set by those platforms and are disclosed at checkout.

2.3 We accept payment by EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other card and digital payment methods displayed at the point of sale. Card payments at our events are processed through our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

2.4 A tax invoice or receipt is issued at the time of purchase, by email for online purchases and at the terminal for door purchases. A copy can be requested at any time by emailing info@colabevents.com.au.

2.5 Your purchase is only complete once payment has been successfully authorised. If payment is declined or later reversed, the ticket or booking is void and entry may be refused.

3. Tickets and delivery

3.1 Online tickets are delivered electronically (by email or through the relevant ticketing platform) immediately or shortly after payment is confirmed. No physical ticket is posted.

3.2 Door entry tickets are issued at the venue at the time of purchase, generally as a wristband, stamp or printed receipt.

3.3 If you have not received your electronic ticket within 24 hours of purchase, please check your spam or junk folder and then contact us at info@colabevents.com.au. We will re-issue your ticket after verifying your purchase.

3.4 Each ticket admits one person only, on the date and at the venue stated, and may be scanned or validated once. Duplicated, altered, damaged or unreadable tickets may be refused.

3.5 Tickets remain our property (or the property of the venue or promoter) and constitute a revocable licence to attend the event, which may be withdrawn in accordance with clause 5.

4. Table bookings, packages and deposits

4.1 Table, booth and VIP bookings are confirmed only once the required deposit or full payment has been received.

4.2 Where a minimum spend applies, it is disclosed at the time of booking. Deposits are applied against the minimum spend unless stated otherwise.

4.3 Tables are held for the period notified at the time of booking. If your party does not arrive within the hold period, the table may be released and the deposit forfeited.

4.4 Table booking cancellations made at least 48 hours before the event will be refunded in full. Cancellations inside 48 hours are not refundable, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

5. Entry conditions

5.1 Age restrictions. Many of our events are held at licensed venues and are strictly 18+. Where an event is 18+, valid government-issued photographic identification (Australian driver licence, passport, Australian proof-of-age card or equivalent) is required for entry. Age restrictions for each event are stated on the event listing.

5.2 Entry is subject to the conditions of entry of the venue and to all applicable laws, including liquor licensing and responsible service of alcohol requirements.

5.3 We and the venue reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the premises, any person who:

  • cannot produce acceptable identification;
  • is intoxicated or affected by drugs, or whose behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others;
  • behaves in an aggressive, threatening, discriminatory or antisocial manner;
  • does not comply with venue dress code, capacity limits or lawful directions of staff or security;
  • is found in possession of prohibited items, including illegal substances, weapons, glass containers or outside alcohol.

5.4 Bag checks and searches may be conducted as a condition of entry.

5.5 No refund is payable where entry is refused or a patron is removed under clause 5.3.

5.6 Re-entry after leaving the venue is not permitted unless expressly stated for that event.

6. Refunds, exchanges and cancellations

6.1 Change of mind. Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable for change of mind, if you are unable to attend, or if you arrive after the event has finished or after entry has closed.

6.2 Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). If our services fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a refund, or to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss.

6.3 Event cancelled. If an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, you will receive a refund of the ticket face value. Third-party booking or transaction fees may be non-refundable where they have been retained by the ticketing platform.

6.4 Event rescheduled. If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket will be valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund of the ticket face value by contacting us within 14 days of the new date being announced.

6.5 Material change. If an event is materially changed (for example, a change of venue or the withdrawal of a headline act billed as the principal attraction), you may request a refund of the ticket face value within 14 days of the change being announced.

6.6 Line-up and programming. Support acts, DJs, set times, running order and event features may change without notice and do not constitute a material change. No refund is payable for such changes.

6.7 How to request a refund. Email info@colabevents.com.au with your name, order or receipt number, the event name and date, and the reason for your request. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of approval. We do not issue cash refunds for card transactions.

6.8 Where tickets were purchased through a third-party ticketing platform (for example Eventbrite), refunds are processed through that platform and are also subject to that platform’s terms.

7. Resale and transfer

7.1 Tickets must not be resold or offered for resale at a premium, or used for advertising, promotion, competitions or other commercial purposes, without our prior written consent.

7.2 Tickets resold or transferred in breach of these Terms, or in breach of applicable ticket resale legislation, may be cancelled without refund and entry refused.

7.3 We are not responsible for tickets purchased from unauthorised sellers and cannot guarantee their validity.

8. Lost, stolen or damaged tickets

Lost or stolen tickets will only be replaced where we can verify the original purchase against our records. Wristbands and door-entry stamps cannot be replaced once issued.

9. Risk, safety and liability

9.1 You attend events at your own risk. Events may involve loud amplified music, strobe and other lighting effects, smoke or haze machines, pyrotechnics, crowds and elevated noise levels. Patrons who are pregnant, have photosensitive epilepsy, a heart condition, hearing sensitivity or any other relevant condition should consider this before attending.

9.2 We recommend the use of hearing protection at high-volume events.

9.3 Personal property is brought into the venue at your own risk. Neither COLAB nor the venue accepts responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged property except to the extent caused by our negligence.

9.4 To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 6.2, our total liability arising out of or in connection with a ticket or event is limited to the amount paid by you for that ticket or booking.

9.5 You are liable for any loss or damage you cause to the venue, its property or its patrons.

10. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, fire, flood, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, public health orders, government restriction, act of terrorism, civil unrest, industrial action, venue closure, power failure or the unavailability of an artist. In such circumstances clauses 6.3 to 6.5 apply.

11. Filming, photography and promotion

11.1 Our events are frequently photographed and filmed. By entering, you consent to your image, likeness and voice being recorded and used by COLAB and its partners for promotional, marketing and archival purposes, without fee, in any media.

11.2 If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, please notify the media team or event staff on arrival.

11.3 Professional photography and recording equipment may not be brought into an event without prior accreditation.

12. Privacy

12.1 We collect personal information (such as your name, email address, phone number and transaction details) in order to process your purchase, admit you to events, provide customer support, meet our legal obligations and — where you have opted in — send you marketing communications.

12.2 We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

12.3 We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who assist us in operating our business (including ticketing platforms, payment processors, venues and marketing providers), and where required by law.

12.4 Card payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store complete card numbers or security codes on our systems.

12.5 You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from marketing at any time, by emailing info@colabevents.com.au.

13. Payment disputes and chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at info@colabevents.com.au before raising a dispute with your bank. We aim to resolve billing queries within 5 business days. Where a chargeback is raised in respect of a validly supplied ticket or service, we reserve the right to provide evidence of the transaction and attendance to the acquiring bank and to cancel any associated tickets.

14. Intellectual property

All trade marks, logos, artwork, photography, video and audio content published by COLAB remain our property or that of our licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission.

15. Third-party platforms and venues

Some of our events are ticketed through third-party platforms and held at third-party venues. Those parties’ own terms and conditions of sale and conditions of entry apply in addition to these Terms. Where there is an inconsistency in respect of entry to a venue, the venue’s conditions of entry prevail.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. Material changes will be posted on https://colabevents.com.au.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and COLAB submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
